On October 21-25th, 2009 Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital hosted its 35th Medical Seminar. It was held on the grounds of the beautiful and serene campus of the Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital located in Wildwood, Georgia. The seminar was from Wednesday to Sunday. Raven White, Wildwood Seminar Coordinator stated, “The purpose of the health seminar was to enlighten medical professionals and health enthusiasts in God’s natural healing methods.”
The medical seminar featured internationally renowned presenters such as Winston Craig, PhD, DeWitt Williams PhD, Agatha Thrash, MD, Bernell Baldwin, MD, John Kelly, MD MPH and Lola Harrison, BSN/MBA just to name a few. They addressed specific diseases and health challenges such as Alzheimer’s disease, Swine flu and more, in accordance with God’s natural health laws. The participants had the opportunity to learn about Lifestyle Medicine, Pediatrics, Midwifery, and Exercise Physiology. Each day started with morning devotions with Dr. William Dysinger and ended with evening worship given by Elder Herbert Douglass, TH.D. The seminar’s theme was ‘Heath for Time and Eternity’. The workshops were not only informational but spiritual as well. The knowledgeable presenters shared the latest research and findings in their respected medical fields to the captive seminar audience. Each presenter methodically shared the direct link between physical health and spiritual health. Flavio Prego, a surgical nurse from Florida said, “Health reform is not about not eating meat. But it is about having a clear mind and a connection with God. We just can’t adore God in mind and in spirit. We have to love Him with our bodies, too. Our bodies are the temple of God.” Flavio decided to become a Vegetarian after attending Wildwood’s Medical Seminar. Although he is a lifelong church member, now he finally understands the connection between not consuming flesh and having a closer relationship with God. Since leaving Wildwood, he has shared this message with his family members in Brazil and they have decided to become Vegetarians, too. At the end of the seminar, amidst of the sad goodbyes, everyone seemed spiritually refreshed and mentally enlightened. Roger Gallant, a doctor from North Carolina, stated, “This was my first time to Wildwood and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought that the medical seminar was fantastic and educational. It was full of pertinent information from well-recognized experts. It was great to be able to get CME credit for the meetings as well. It provided mental, physical and spiritual nourishment.” The participants left eager to share what they learned from the Wildwood Medical Seminar. The Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital 2009 Medical Seminar was a success! It not only taught the heath care professionals and health enthusiasts about physical health but spiritual health as well. The seminar armed them with the latest health research presented by world-renowned experts. It prepared them to go back to their respected fields of medicine and share God’s natural health laws to heal and save lives both spiritually and physically.
