Oat-Wheat Pie Crust
⅔ c oat flour 1 ½ c whole wheat flour ⅓ c oil ½ tsp salt ⅓-½ c cool water
Mix flour with salt. Emulsify oil and water and add to flour, mixing very well but do not knead. Let sit for 10 minutes, then roll the dough out and cut with a round, hollow object to make approximately 4-inch-diameter circles. Roll the circles a bit flatter, then put a generous tablespoon of the apple filling in each. Fold half of the circle over the filling to form a half-moon-shaped pocket. Seal the edges with a fork and bake at 350E for about 20 minutes or until light brown. |
